yeah im thinking about it, but means i have to run new wires.....gay....oh well better get to work then...not sure what colour wires out the back of h/unit are for rear speakers though!

meh doesn't really matter just make sure you have your polarities correct ( + to + - to - ) just to have music ... i can find the color if you have the model of the HU

Use the stock speaker's wire.

sony explode head unit

sony explode 6x9 rear speakers

2 x sony explode 12inch subs

1 x 500wrms sony explode amp

1x 800wrms sony explode amp

pos and neg wires are 8 gauge

speaker wires to subs are 8 gauge too

speaker wires to 6x9's are just standard speaker wires

one rca cable which is split from 800wrms amp to 500wrms amp

i should point out im not bothering with subs right now or the 800wrms amp, just trying to get the 500wrms and speakers working so i can at least listen to music

You have the same size wire powering your whole system as is powering your subs?

Do you have a distribution block? I mean what splits the connections between both your amps? I won't get into how others feel about Sony stuff. Personally I wouldn't run it, but that's me. If it gets you where you want to be then so be it. I fail to believe both amps would all of a sudden just fizzle out. But then again, you could have been running this under 12 volts or something. You ever notice dimming? Do the amps smell burnt?

How far you willing to go to make this work? I would try those amps in someone else's car first. If they work fin in their car, I would start with the wiring. Redo all of it with at least quality 4 gauge wiring. Make sure you have the right sized fuses and a fused distribution block as well. Then I would retest.
