Protect light going on? makes no sence. Crossfire help!

Here is my situation. I have 2 15.2 Orion H2s and a Crossfire VR2000D. The amp is rated at 2000x1 at 2 ohms and 1000x1 at 4 ohms. It doesnt say if thats per channel or bridged or what. it is a mono block amp. I have the subs wired as a 4 ohm load indepdently, and they are wired as a 2 ohm load together. Heres my problem, when i bridge them together into 2 ohms and put them on one side of the connections to the amp, it only sounds like 1000w rms. However, when I unbridge the connection and run each woofer to the amp on both sides, it feels much more like 2000w rms, but goes into protection. Why would this be happening when im running each channel at 4 ohms, as opposed to one channel at 2. It makes no sence what so ever. I have hardly any experience with DVC subs or Mono block amps. Someone please help. Thanks!

The only possible thing I can think of is that I only have a single battery, factory alternator, and 4ga wire ran, but I dont know why this would cause the amp to go into protect. Please advise.

ok if the amp is a monoblock amp... then it only has 1 channel... there is no bridging... it just has 2 terminals to make it easier to connect your sub wires... are your subs DVC 4 ohm? or DVC 2 ohm?

The amp is listed as a monoblock amp on crossfires website, and in the instruction manuel, yet it has 2 terminals, like a stereo amp, 2 positives and 2 negatives. My subs are DVC 2 ohm.

it is still a monoblock amo. there are some companies that do the dual terminal thing to give you more wiring opions if you like using bigger wire.

here is how you should wire the subs (attachment below)

the real problem is why are you not powerin those subs up homie? those hold like 2000w rms and your feeding em like half power. and what jon^^is saying is right--mono amps are bridged internally so pretty much no matter how you connect your speaker leads to the amp it is the same. they add those extra terminals just to make wiring easier!!! i tried to explain this to you in your last post about the rattling. you really need to find out the source of your problem because i would hate to see you destroying equipment over some simple issues homie.

Also check your wires make sure there not grounden against anything else when you switch the wiring
