pros/cons of subs to diff channels

the biggest thing is that most amps will put out more power bridged to a comparable load. generally speaking, most subbass frequencies are not presented in stereo form. that being, you will not USUALLY get bass coming from just one channel.

Well, if the amp spewed out about 300~400w per channel, then the problem with not being able to fully utilise the bridged mode power would be somewhat compensated.

You're still trying to locate some good amps for your K's? Why would you want to get a 2 channel amp for them? Or did you already get yourself a 2 channel?

oh no, i got the Xtant A6001T (600rms @ 2ohms, wat i was looking for)

it will be here in a day or 2, but i wont be able to put it in until a week or 2 cuz i m movin out. Also, i got finals this week, so i need bass to de-stress myself, n my amp only puts like 300rms or less bridged, n it's not that 2 ohm stable. so just thinkin of hookin to diff channels for at least this week cuz of finals.

can't wait to isntall that amp, i gotta change all the wires n stuff, but it will be fun.

Xtant, to me, has always made quality stuff. I drooled when the first xtant tube drivers came onto the scene.. incredible. TO this day, I still want one.

About the XTANT A6001T...

a monoblock 600w RMS.

You meant that you want to connect your subs to your existing amp? I guess it can't hurt, although I don't think you'll like the quality and quantity of the bass. I once had my sub to a stereo channel. 8ohm 10" sub, fed it 15 watts (yes, I believe it was 15 watts since the amp was 30w@4ohm). Not good, but I'm sure your's would sound better. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

hahhaah, 15 watts, holly shit, good ol' days huh? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

yeah to my current amp, it's like 150rms @ 4ohms x 2 which is wat i have right now for each sub. i'll c how it goes.

but keep the pros/cons if anyone has anything else to add
