It's ok to run 16g power wire h3ll I use a 20' length of phone wire from wal-mart and I have 4 wires in one jacket! so theres my remote/power and TWO grounds, also I did the math and I'm good for 6,858.99999990 watts rms but only if I utilize the extra ground and use my 1 farad capacitor! so ya we all have to cut back in this hard economy, and some people don't want to spend a sh1t ton of money on a stupid wire just for looks.... OP go on do your thing your good!

i suggest using google before coming back on here. dont mean to be a dixk, but there is just A LOT that you need to learn first.
Your sig = win....

And OP.... it's a 5,000w MAX amp... it is actually rated for 1200w, and I'd be surprised if it does even that. REGARDLESS... You can't be serious about using 16-gauge wire, that's just a joke. That's the size of shitty speaker wire.

Use 4 gauge. Don't run your sister until you have that fixed.

the reviews on that amp are pretty solid...here are a couple

"I bought this amp couple of months ago and I love it I had so many ppl ask me if I wanted ta sell it and I laughed at um... ma friends dad is in the car audio comp stuff and he said that the amp I bought was prolly the best investment I could have mad wit ma car audio... u much love loud if u get the amp... I bought the 5000 watt amp and put it on three pioneer champion ten inch subs and the freaking pound like omg I love it...lol"

"This amp is perfect for someone looking for something good and cheap. I'm doing work with two bass of 1200 watts each 12". The best sound you can hear."

"Its an excellent amp and very easy to use. I power 2 2500 watt Boss subs with it. Its really good besides it over heats easily."

You guys need to quit hating.

To the OP - if your going to run 16 gauge I do not think you need to even worry about a fuse cause the whole wire is just one long fusible link.

Good luck, have fun, and report back after the fire.

Never thot of that! Gonna redo my set up, now: save big money vs/ the 4gauge I was gonna use, and no fuse blocks/fuses required.

Srsly, TrollOP, your 16 gauge isn't even fit for speaker wire....
