proper way to wire amp & speakers?

what is the right way to wire up the amp once your wires are ready? do you hook neg first or possitive first? should you take the fuses out or leave them in when you first give it power. new to this wiring thing...thanks

doesnt matter.. just make sure the car isnt on playing music when your putting wires in and out...

edit: i actually meant to say "make sure the car is off when putting wires in and out"

man...i cant tell if your being serious or not. so your saying to leave the fuse in or ill pop my amp?

This is what I've always done, and never had a problem.

Make sure the pos and neg are disconnected from battery. Then connect the all wiring to your amp. Make sure your amp grounding is done too. Next hook up the pos on the battery, then the negative. This has always worked for me.
