Proper Big 3 grounding points

Popping, most likely when he turns the car on/off the subs are popping.

Usually it's because too many components are turning on at the same time.

What kind of car?

you mean not turning off and on at the same time:p:
No, I didn't //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif But possibly. From my understanding these "popping" or "thump" noises occur when voltage is sent through the remote turn on wire after the amplifier is already on, thus being amplified and creating the noise.

Adding a turn on delay to your subwoofer amplifier, if that indeed is the problem, would solve it.

I used to have that problem, supposedly it's caused by low voltage to the remote wire for the amp, but what solved it for me was getting an equalizer. I suppose the high-voltage outputs somehow stopped it or something, not entirely sure. So maybe a line driver can solve it for you. Otherwise the problem is pretty minor I think.

reason why it would pop is something turning on too soon or off too soon...

How can it turn on too soon? My 4 channel amp is running of a switch and it popped every time I turned it on until I got the DQS for some odd reason.

Sry I was @ work, but what i mean by "poping" is the turn on thump.

That doesn't bother much as much as the louder thump that happens

when the amp pushes more power*. That one is loud, depends on the

gain setting and puts the amp into protect.

*volume 25

oh and i re grounded the big 3 and it still happens, so grounding on struts seems fine...
