Proper amp and box for 2 12" kicker l5's?

Currently I have an Alpine cda-9856 HU, infinity kappa 3-way 6"x9"s all around. I plan on installing 2 12" kicker l5's at 2-ohms. Each sub is rated at 1200 watts peak and 600 watts RMS. I want an amp powerful enough to run both subs at or above RMS, since i want it to pound.

Any suggestions on what amp to purchase? And what type of box, ported , sealed etc.?

If you want it to pound, you will want to run a large ported box....around 3 cubic feet apiece tuned to about 34hz should work nicely.

As far as amps go, there are a lot of options....check the for sale section to get an idea of some of the 1200d's available out there.
