Its around the mid 20's but i dont know the exact tuning.

What made you decide to tune that low? Does it struggle anywhere?

throught all of the testing my truck is loudest at 30 htz.

i say bump the tuning up alittle, should get some nice numbers around 50ish if your bump the tuning to 40.

Cool Brent glad you finally posted this up... A 150 @30 cycles off the AQ's is awsome.... Like i said before...

mid 20s is low even for "normal" subs, let alone an HDC

he has to tune super low so he can peak about his trucks resonant frequency... we tried lots of tuning options.. even with an FI BL in a sealed enclosure on a sweep it peaked at 30hz...

Yeah, it is crazy how much of a peak his truck has at 30Hz. I tried some boxes tuned in the 50s in his truck and it would have two peaks, one at box peak and another at the truck's peak. Most of the time it would peak with a higher DB at 30Hz even though the box was peaking higher. We just decided to see what would happen if the box peaked at the trucks resonant frequency.

Actually, it is tuned in the 27 to 28 hz range. We just kept tweaking the box till it peaked at 30Hz.

What size ports are those? and how long?

6'' ports, and i could be wrong but i think they are somewhere in the 12'' range as far as legnth.. im not entirely shure.

They are 6" ports, they are between 16" and 18" long (I think) and the box is about 7.5 cubic feet after displacements. We originally had 4 4" ports in this box and got it to do low 149s. We gain quite a bit by just going to the two 6" ports. We need to do some more testing with it, but it has been to cold to mess around with it.
