ok so i have an 18 in a ported box at 25 htz with about 800 watts rms pushing it. the sub was built by myself using a teampsi recone with dual 1s. the tunk has been adjusted to close as tight as possible. the trunk rattles really badly. will dynamat or some other sort of sound deadener help? and if so is it really worth the money for dynamat? also what are some other types of sound deadeners?

Any alternatives to dynamat? You must be new here.

I will say this though, its likely your 25hz tuning freq of your enclosure isn't helping with the rattling situation any, as you must have quite the exaggerated bottom end.

I'm not new to the forums just new to the idea of dynamat and deadeners. What is ur recomendation.?

How much material would one need for truck doors? I have an extended cab so the rear doors are half the normal size
Call Don, from the link I provided above, and ask him. He's extremely knowledgeable and is gaining a reputation for be honest with potential customers as to real-world amounts of material needed to get the job done without inflating customer expense to increase his sales.
