IA is rumored to make nearly double power on 16V. Memphis 4000s are also good on 16V IIRC

i was thinkin about 40.1's, but they are the most expensive of the options. im trying to see what all i have to choose from.

its gonna be a while, im gonna have to borrow an amp from someone to get this going for the meet. prally trey. less than 3000w to all 4 mts FTL

Wow why spend all that money on a 16v setup when you won't even be able to hear the difference? I mean it's going to be a daily driver, I don't see the point of 16v unless you're competing and from what I saw this weekend, running 16v makes a very small difference in the score. 3 of my teammates were doing 16v burps, minimal gains, if that. Not trying to flame, just trying to save you some dough, but do what you will.

Depends on the amps...Im not so sure what kind of increases the Sundowns get from 12/14 volts to 16. I know some amps love 16v...case in point, the IA 20.1 and 40.1 I think Someone got 5200 watts out of a strapped pair of 20.1s rising up to 4 ohms...so there are gains depending on the equipent.

how much u asking each?

and i already have my 16v batts...i dont wanna drain out my 12v system...and i wanna get the most power outta my amps as possible. i may compete too...not alot though

But I do agree 16v is pointless unless you are competing...or if you have dual alts...one that charges to 16v and one that charges your car. Otherwise you are going to be draining down batts while you ride around.

ya right now each of my subs is making 1 ohm, but its really making higher than an ohm, which is gay. i want as close to .5 as possible.

you mean each sub is reading 1.4ohms? because arent all MTs dual 1.4 or dual .7?

in my opinion...ditch the 16v and either add 4 more sundowns (un realistic with 8 amps) or get some stronger amps...that will give each sub 2500-3k
