Putting Foam and Dynamat inside Sub enclosure?

Just wondering if this would give any slight benefits... like you're suppose to put foam behind the component speaker mid bass, wondering if the same applies for a sub in an enclosure

Nope. The foam behind the midrange is to break up standing waves that might color the sound of the midrange. The wavelengths involved in bass and sub bass are so long that standing waves aren't an issue.

So why does JL have diagrams of enclosures with foam in them? What is it used for in those?

The foam you are thinking of is actually something like polyfill. Resembles cotton.

i remember reading somewhere that putting foam/polyfill/fiberglass, it helps make the sound more real... eliminating/reducing box/port resonance and all weird sound caused buy the pressure in the box.

Well it seems they have taken those pics down. But it looked like egg crate in some of the boxes they had on there at one time.
