why did you decide to go with the 5.0?

A buddy wrecked his. Engine bay was completely salvagable, nothing else was. His insurance was lacking, so I picked up his motor and helped him out and scored a sweet motor all in one. I lucked out, to be honest.

 
I figured I'd need something mean behind those nice foglights... hah. I ended up getting a cobra front because I like the integrated fog look of it, and caught a lot of shit from guys saying I was trying to build a clone, so why not go bigger than the usual clone of a 4.6l...

a 4.6 is a better motor than the 5.0 anyway.

 
the 5.0 has more bolt ons but the 4.6 is still a nice engine. with some PI heads. both are good motors just personal opion. i would rather have my 4.6 just kuz it is a DOHC and i like it

the majority of the 4.6's are not dohc...the cobra motors were, not the gt's, trucks, etc etc..id play it cheap and simple and stick with the 302.

It would save BOTH of us, a lot of wasted time and effort.

And yes. I have stainless brake lines, cobra rotors, cobra calipers. So yes, I do what I preach.

Thats all I was asking. Like alot of people here, I don't like the airbags. Are you planning on just or crusier or a racer?

If your gonna do a engine rebuild on that 5.0, I'd reccomend GT-40 heads..and some other goodies.

I'm done being retarted with all this bullshit. It seems like your another ford guy here. Also you read my last post on the other thread where we were going at it.

It's a daily driver... I doubt it will ever see more than 75mph. I'm a low and slow type of guy, I guess.

I've had my fill of speed... atleast as fast as I'd ever want to go.

Basically, I just like a good, allaround, dependable vehicle.

The mustang has quite a list of modifications, in all areas. Stereo/interior/exterior/wheels/suspension/brakes... yadda yadda.

My ideal car though, is a newer ford t-bird. hah. too bad they hold their value so **** well!
