First thing I did to the door panels was cut out the factory speaker grill type thing, to accomodate larger speakers. Then I put vinyl on them- it didnt work very well, as you can see from the following pics.

So, looking for thoughts on how to repair my door panels.

Go ahead and flame, as long as you offer helpful suggestions too!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Id like to avoid buying whole new panels. But I want to improve the "absolute shit" look these have going on now.

That hole to the right of the vinyl doesnt matter, it is behind the dash when the doors closed. First time I was going to put tweets in, didnt see where it would line up.

Here is what I would do.

Keep the armrest and upper parts of the panel the same. Along with the switch panel and handle cups.

Then take some liquid plastic and fix the tweeter hole you started.

Use some plastic to patch in that mess the vinyl is covering. Mold the woofer ring in and also the tweeter cup if you want a tweeter there.

Then remove the map pocket and fill in the holes from it with more liquid plastc and then sand the whole thing down and prep it for a color matched paint job.

You still have those pics of your door panels?

OK here is what your panels looked like before you hacked on them, (without woodgrain of course).
