Profile CL600- Good for 400?

I was looking at the Profile CL600. It puts out a claimed 450wrms when bridged at 4 ohms. Figuring that it's overrated (hopefully just slightly), this should be about perfect for a 400wrms 2x 8" subwoofer setup, correct? Any opinions? Any experience with this amp, and whether or not it really is very overrated or not? I did a search and came across very mixed results, hopefully I can get a little more feedback here, sorry for redundancy.

depending on your car i'd actually say it'd put out that 450 (not all day long) but it'll do it

my brother has a CL1200, 900w its rated at, dunno if it does that all time, but moves his 15in L7 quit nicely

I have a crappy little v6 mustang. I'm not sure of the alternator stats or anything like that. Any help? IF the amp puts out the claimed 450w, will that be too much for two subs asking for 400wrms? Keep in mind that these are elemental design's K-series, if that makes a difference.

Nope, they're upcoming. Presale at $50/each. That's why I'm buying. 2 8" subs, 400w total, $100 shipped. Honestly can't beat it, imho.

Plan to buy two 4ohm DVC's and wire em up to a 4ohm load.

Yes, the mustang's electrical will handle 450watts...You can also look into different voice coils configs. so you can vary the amps you can get. Profile does put out the wattage it claims for a decent price, very hard to beat for what they are. I would try to get a configuration that you can wire down to 2 ohms and get the most out of some amps. I would look towards JBL, Hifonics, Older Kickers, Older Rockfords, etc..

If you are set on the profile, it will work.
