Hey guys my first system was 2 15" pioneer subs, and they were ran by a legacy 600 watt amp.... each sub had 2.8cuft of airspace.... it was in the back of 87 hatchback mustang and hit 137.9dB....
Now i know that isnt very hard hitting but i like how it sounded, and for my first system like how loud it was....
Now im building myself another hatchback mustang.
I was looking to put 2 15" Alpine Type R's, and was woundering how good a AP2000 profile amp is, Now i know it is a cheap/middel class amp, i see that they say it puts out 960watts RMS brigged @ 4ohms, now i know theres no way a it puts that many watts out, my cusin has a 1200watt calfornia profile amp that is hooked up to a 10" TYPE X Alpine it in a 1.4cuft box, each VC is hook up to each channel of the amp, e.i. its running at 4ohms in stero(when the amp can do 2ohm stero , but theres no way too hook it up that way).... It sounds and hitts very good...
ANYWAY my question is , how many watts RMS does a AP2000 put out, and will i need 1 or 2 for my 2 Alpine 15" type R's...........
