and is this a good power/ quality amp

^^ i wouldn't go as far as saying they're nice per se. they're solid and get the job done i'll admit, but unless you're powering some cheap speakers, i'd save up just a little. paying a little extra can get you a much better product. of course they're no boss or legacy or pyle

if you're running subs you should make sure you mount it correctly to cool. i didnt think it'd make that much of a difference but my clarus cools much better now taht it's mounted vertically (fins facing up) than flat

I used to have a profile and since I have had amps such as blade, us, zapco, xtant, mcintosh ect... you get the idea. Anyways wanted to tell ya that was one of the most rock solid generally great for the buck amps I have owned. they look kinda cheap or not of to much quality but they are simply great amps and the design has been around forever and 3 days. My old profile is still rocking in my high school buds old truck to this day. That says ALLOT about an amp!

paying a little extra can get you a much better product.

I see that Ikesound is selling a 480x1 (bridged) Profile for 87 bucks.

I don't see anything else out there, new, that can touch that. Maybe US Acoustics...

Yeah, it's a good price...

just be careful when saying it's a "1200" watt amp; it really isn't. It really does half that...but they decided to name it using the peak rating.

as we've said before...yes. I don't know what else we can say.

ACTUALLY! I would not get the AP, CA, or BA lines. I've had bad experiences. Spend a few dollars more and go with the CL1200 (clarus line). IMO, it is much better and worth the extra money...i'll stand behind the CL line anyday of the week...i've used countless for other's low budget installs...and ABSOLUTELY no problems. On the other hand i've had problems with the CA/AP/BA lines...

SO, go with the clarus CL1200. It will put out 900x1 @4ohm bridged...i have a friend that's been bangin it everyday for over a year...no problems! peace

Did they change the internals?? I have never heard of or had any problems ever with a ca series from profile unless ithe load was well below spec.

1 of the only differences is that the clarus has a ssf. other than that arent they just about identical?
