sundownz is right on the money.
They won't quite reach the wattage levels that their manuals/published ratings might lead you to believe... though it isn't the gross discrepancy that you find on many Pyramid or Boss or other amps of that ilk.
Outside of that one little foible of being a smidge optimistic with their output claims in my experience (and I have owned several) Profile amps are really tough to beat for the money - providing that you do not ask more of it than it can provide to you.
If you're looking at buying one retail then get it from
Crutchfield. All Profile purchases through them extends the manufacturer's warranty from 1 year to 3 years just by virtue of buying through them.
If you're looking to get on off of
eBay then have a look at the inventory of the user barneyselectronics.
He's a no joke seller - you pay, he ships, end story.
And he keeps Profile amps of varying types in inventory pretty consistently. He's no *****-shipper - if his listing says he's got it then it goes out the 1st day following you remitting payment. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Also a good source to check is
http://www.ProfileUSA.com and have a look at the online store.
Very often they post refurbed units at very significant discounts and they're still warrantied for 1 year. As it is the actual manufacturer doing to refurbishing rather than a third-party source you can trust that the refurbishment was completed properly.
