Problems with subs and amp

Hey,

I just installed my Hifonics 1608D and 2 alpine type r's.

I turned on the cd player and i barely get any bass at all.

I have all the settings on the amp turned about half way and the subs are wired like this to 1 ohm:

My amp is mono channel but has 2 sets of pos and neg connections so i split them up for each sub...is that the problem?

see if you hu has a sub on/off setting

if you split them up for each sub then you cant be at 1ohm. unless im reading that wrong. hook them up just like the pic you have and use the + from one side and the - from the other.

yep a single 4ohm sub cant be wired to 1ohm ..

do it just like the picture and you will be at 1ohm

DUHH! // but if you have easch sub wired to an independent channel that would be 1 sub ! ...

Ok then so how would I connect all the wires together?

i told you. use 1 + from one channel and the - from the other channel.

Hits a little harder but it seems right around what my old subs used to do that were 200 rms and powered by a 125 rms x2 amp.

Right now I'm on 2 500 rms subs with 1600 rms amp at 1 ohm...idk...
