probably a dumb question

ok..I was thinkin of going with the fosgate p110s8. Its a 8 ohm singlevoice coil and its rms is 150 watts and 300 peak. I was gonna run them in parrallel to four ohms and bridge the kicker kx800.2. Is this sub crap and will I blow it with this setup?

you can do better... you probobally wont blow it if u dont abuse it, but it really depends on how much money you have to spend. If you havn't been around a lot of different subwoofers, I'm sure they will satisfy you for quite a while... but eventually you will demand more.

I used to have two 8" Legacy woofers in a bandpass box as my first system ($50 SHIPPED). 50 watts goin to each. First time I hooked it up I was like WOW //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif this is incredible lol. After I got used to them though, I kept demanding better sound and they just couldn't handle it, so I upgraded to my two TS-W2000SPL's. They wang for the price of about 100 each. I'm really satisified with them. But I was happy with the Legacys for a whole year lol. So if this is your first system, I suggest you don't spend too much money. Buy some decent subs and a decent amp and you will be happy for a while.
