Frame = Basket as has already been established.so why is my basket on my Sa-8 that is stock from you all the same as the skar basket? I will admit the motor.. I couldn't remember whether it was the same it was not.. but the surround, cone look similar as well.. but my basket is identical.. please explain.. I can take a picture if you don't believe me.. robin(Iam3pimp) can verify as I unpacked them in front of him.. all 4 of them..
Frame = Basket as has already been established.
The surround isn't even close -- the SA-8 is foam and Skar-8 is rubber and they have significantly different profiles; especially if you have our newer foam surround.
They share 4 "important" parts, exactly like I posted originally. Unless you want to count the mounting gasket and bolts *laughs* Cone is very similar but not identical (it's covered by the full cone dust-cap on the Skar-8 anyway).
You don't need to take a picture... I designed the Skar-8 so I am pretty sure I know what all the parts are. The motor, spider, surround, and coil represent about 90% of the drivers performance and those are all clearly different.
I agree about the taxes, regulations, etc. that prevent small business from thriving in the USA. I run a small business also and know the troubles our system has caused that pretty much makes it impossible to operate. The only thing that really separates the income of a small business owner and a welfare recipient is how they had to work for it....it works out about the same after taxes and overhead. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif That being said, its still possible to make enough of a profit, especially if you are doing something that you love. There are ways to save manufacturing costs, while not compromising overall quality.Sadly most American manufacturing these days you're not really even paying for quality. You're paying for oppressive taxes, regulations, insurance mandates, etc. imposed on the small business. (ie. 50 million stiffs that are being paid by the state to not work and sit on their arse and catch a check, and probalby 10 million amulance chasing lawyers that push up insurance costs for all).....
Which begs the question.... Why no more 4500D? By all accounts the most reliable amp that size on the market. Even Steve Mantz said he tested one and was impressed (and I've never heard him say a good word about an amp rated over 2KW before...generally he calls the designers "monkeys")
.... just saying.
Sorry, I don't really respect Chrysler enough to care anymore. How about mid 60's for a SRT-8 Gand Cherokee?
Our increased labor charge is not the real issue for pricing. It is the various taxes and other BS charges that are pushed on the company for doing business here in the USA.But would you pay the huge premium that would come with the american labour?

And it continuesFunny thread. Glad someone doesn't have their head up their butt. Snoop is correct. The base boards used by these companies are exactly that, a base. You can buy a car and have a few different options like leather seats and different rims and tires, but it doesn't change performance that much, right? We can all call Zenon or S&I Corp (if we order a slight amount, Nick IA will contact you about ordering) and order a couple hundred amps that are similar with a few changes like inputs, chips, size of capacitors/quantity difference, and other minute items. All in all, power supply is exactly the same. For ANYONE to claim their amp is THEIR design, I would like to personally speak with their engineer, and would like to ask him why did he use a base Korean board and power supply, guess because he wasn't paid $25,000 for the amp design and was given a few instructions in Korean/Chinese to use a few different parts to throw on to change a few cosmetics and performance.
Atmoic brings in boards and parts form S&I, and actually does assemble the amplifier here, they can at least build an amplifier over there if they wanted. Since 2 companies in here say they build and design amplifiers, I will be glad to put up the money to buy all the parts and pieces for 2 amplifiers and have a build off. I am curious as to who can build one the fastest. Any takers on this? I would also stick a gopro camera on both heads to watch progress as it goes.........
We don't really want to go into the design and build of amps or subwoofers do we??? I mean really? Its ok to admit that you use a base, because certainly not everyone is Alpine or Kicker and have an engineer on the payroll and bring out their own amplifiers/subwoofers without a good base model to work on and nit pick changes.
I have to say, I like the NS-1 .... www.spldynamics.fi Did they buy the design from you a few months ahead of time, or did you ask for a wider heatsink and 3 terminals to cosmetically look different?
