Apparently the girl was on her phone not paying attention. In all honestly, I feel worse for the bus driver. He was so broken up about it he quit his job right after it happened.Clemson Student Hit By Bus

CLEMSON, S.C. -- A Clemson University student was hit by a bus at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Freshman Kellie Jureka, 18, was was treated by Clemson University Emergency Medical Services personnel and transported to Bowman Field, where she was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Initially, there were conflicting reports about the severity of Jureka's injuries, but according to the Greenville Hospital she was in serious but stable condition as of 4 p.m.
Jureka, who is from Lexington, S.C., was struck by the Clemson Area Transit bus at about noon on the Clemson campus on Fort Hill Street about a block away from Calhoun Street.
Investigators have not yet said if there were any passengers on board the CAT bus, nor have the described the circumstances of the incident.
Clemson Dean of Students Joy Smith said, "The thoughts and prayers of the Clemson Family go out to Kellie, her family and friends at this time, and we will be here for her as she recovers from this unfortunate accident."
Clemson University contracts with the city of Clemson for bus transportation services on campus.
S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
