Pre out voltage

I’m curious as to why it’s a big deal to look for 4v pre outs or higher. Does it really matter when you set gains with oscilloscope?

More preamp voltage offers less distortion potential, assuming the amp is set right.

Doesn't really matter much. 4v will have 3db greater noise rejection. You can 6 or 8v. I think some Audio Controll stuff offer 11v preouts.

yeah that, just as long as your amp can take the voltage. I have an orion amp that maxes input voltage at 4V.
