Pre-Fab Sealed Vs. Custom Sealed.

for sealed as long as it's built tough then why not. no reason it would sound/perform worse.

i actually took a good sealed prefab box and custom ported it. works perfect.

I bought a prefab sealed box because I didn't want to go through the trouble of carpeting. It also looked pretty nice too. I don't see how it would've have affected anything differently if I built one instead. Just make sure you get the right measurements first.

yes as long as it meets your spec and its built well then there is no reason why not to run a prefab but most prefabs are built like crap

I would make sure it's 3/4" MDF.

Even then very few pre-fabs are made to handle a 60+ lb

2000 Watt woofer. But I'm not in that market so pre-fab is

fine with me on sealed.
