Powering 2 amps

I'm going to be completing my system today. I have a 99' Silverado Z71 that is stock right now. I currently have 1 amp for my subwoofer and I need to get one amp for my new PG Xenon 6.5 components.

I'm wondering if I should just get a 3/4 channel amp or just buy a 2 channel amp for the components and keep my current amp for sub.

What do you all recommend.

What kind of sub and amp do you have right now and what kind of power does your sub need?

I would only think about getting a 3/4 channel amp IF

-the sub dont need a lot of power (under 500)

-you have a shitty amp that is powering your sub right now

-want to save space

I would just add another amp to it, it would be cheaper and more powerfull. It really depends on your current system right now but most likly you will have to upgrade your power wire anyways to handle a bigger system.

the cheap amp I have right now is a old Sony 502x or some shit like that. I believe in mono form its only like 200 watts rms or something like that..

My current sub is a 10" IMPP Pioneer 300watt max or something. I am at work so I dont know specifics.

The only reason I'm hesitating on a 4 channel is because my Components are 150watts RMS so buying a 4 channel amp with 100 + watts x 4 is pricey.
