just make sure you have at least 25 kinetick 2400 battery. those thing have a HUGE!!! current draw.

I did a ton of research on them and have one sitting in my closet, but I have yet to use it. From my research though, people did love them and I don't think there's more of them blowing than your average amp that's being pushed that hard for SPL applications. Like the clown before said though, they supposedly do have a HUGE power draw (for real).

ive never heard anything about the current draw on them.

I've installed quite a few of them and have been impressed with just about every aspect of the amp. The only thing i din't like is its easy to strip the wire termilals. Other than that great amp.

Their known problems are capacitors falling off the motherboards and the controller board cannot be fixed easily. It was a standing policy at Powerbass forever to not repair them at all, and just trade in on price for a new one or a 4000 now. I dont suspect that's changed any. Kevin (the parts dept manager) for powerbass told me on many occasions that he has stacks of of the 3000's that he cant get controller boards for. However chris at Db-r is pretty good at repairing this type of controller board since its apparently what those goofy korean's put on every high power amp these days.

Now ive owned the powerbass 1500's and they were easy as hell to fix - they dont have the controller board issue at all. now those are great amps for the price and performance.

I loved the 4 I had. Ran them at .35 burp after burp on 18V and never had a problem. But then again I knew not to mount them to a box and to supply plenty of power. I had 8 batts on 4 amps.
