are you trying to use this on comps or sub woofers ? id use it for subwoofers only you dont need wire that big for speakers

i have the same delima, i have about 230 ft of 8 gauge and i was wondering if it is ok to use to wire my subs up in box then to the amp, also i was wondering if it will make it sound better if i use 8 gauge instead of 12 gauge?

won't make it sound any better. I've wired boxes with 4gauge when it was late at night and I had nothing else to use...

I think I will be using 8g all around for wiring subs to amp guna stick with 12g for the speakers tho just cuz it's easier to run wen there attached and smaller lol
