power wire concerns, dual 1501d's

well i decided it'd probly be best to have 2 runs of 0/1 awg....so i went to a local shop and since i wanted to do it then and there without waiting...i was willing to pay the price....4 bucks a foot....they almost charged me 6 bucks a foot but italked them down.....shiity....i feel dirty....so dirty...
but......im gonna do the dual 1/0awg and a single 4awg run for the memphis door amp........more is better i guess.......pain my ***....but itll get done.....

ya...20ft of kicker 1/0awg, a pack of 5 1/0 ring terminals, and 2 150amp fuses.....110 bucks after cash.......i got *****......but its the price i was willing to pay for covienece.....once i upgraade my alty itll be worth it to have all this wire for maximum current draw.....

Bass,

Why didn't you try an get 1/0/Welding Cable??..Just Curious. .

It wouldn't have cost you $4.00 per/ft.If I was closer to you...I'd have helped you Install the Cable, for Nothin'...because I like to run cable and wire .

All the Best with Your System.Take Care.

*Kind Regards*

Are the 19 strands solid? Or made of of smaller wires twisted into 19 larger strands? If they're solid, I wouldnt use it... wire like that would probably be rated to carry up to 600V or more, but only about 50-100A. Since DC current travels on the outer skin of each strand your current is limited to 19 carriers... although each of your strands can carry a large amount of current, it still cant compare to the often 2000+ strands of high end audio cable. If you have enough 1/0 left over when you get done, I would use it to replace the AC wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yes I believe they are solid, he stated they are for house use.
