power to sub

I'm looking at putting a single sub in my wife's son's Explorer. I plan on running my old 5 channel amp in it. The sub output is rated at 250w RMS. Are there any subs out there that will sound decent with that amount of power? I don't care what size it is. Suggestions? Any for sale? Thanks.

250W @ 4-ohms or 2-ohms?
If you want the most output possible with 250W, go with lots of cone area and don't skimp on enclosure size.
