How much power could I run with 270 AH worth of batteries but an 80a alternator? Just curious mostly.

Not very much. batteries only help below 12.9 and you would be there instantly .u would burn up a alt and drain batteries pretty fast...batteries dont make power . Save ur pennies and get a ho alt

How big of one should I get if I am getting a taramps 3k? Probably a 3k.

As big as you can ..overhead is always a good thing

I mean, I have the money. BUt I tihnk a 200a would be fine for me. Maybe a 240. I don't WANT to spend the money, but 1500 watts isnt cutting it. Too expensive after a point for a 17 y/o

I wouldnt get anything smaller than a 240 ..and no ebay brands ..ur gona spend 350-600 depending on company and size

I dont kno anything abt them.i hope they arent a fly by night co like ive seen pop up ..if they have good reviews go for it ..but if it were me id go with something proven for years..like singer,dc,mechman

Just a fyi u dont want to test those brazilian amps as far as voltage drop goes .they are very very picky

If i were you id get another skar 1500 and strap them ..by buddy runs one on a x12 for years .thats a solid amp

Ive ran the ppi bk800.4 for years now and its monster a/b power but i dont know much about the new lines

The js alts we have found them to be a hit or miss thing kind of like the tenney alts were a few years back. But with the Brazilian amps I wouldn't risk it
