well i have an update to this post. i went to work today and i was asking around about a shop that would be able to help me with my alt. i was talking with one of the mangers hes in charge of the auto dept. he came threw with a number for me. so at lunch today i called the guy i told him i am geting voltaged drops to 12.7 when im coming to a stop or well im stoped. he asked if im running any extra acc. and i said i have 2 amps and its doing this. he laughed and said yea that will do it. he said i shoud not push my alt past its limit. i asked about a smaller pully he said yes that might work but if it dont i will be out of 125 dollers. hes gona charge a hour labor and the price of the pully at cost. he had all my specs and said im better off having a ho alt put in. he said if the belt off and the alt is disconnected i might as well get a ho alt. sorry for the long post. he wants like 425 dollers. its gona be a new alt. 150 amps but it will be great at low rpms and he will do the big 3 he kinda understood how to do it. he was kinda geting mad i was like well what eles can i do. he said i can take that shit out lol. so yeah i gota do the work my self cuz thats a lot of money. and i had walmart check my alt and battery its all good for now.

yes...long post, and I suggested the pulley option because i thought you would do it yourself....I used to work at advance auto, and we had pulleys of all shapes and sizes laying around that we just gave away to whomever wanted them!

sorry for the long post but thats how it went down. yeah he said it would maybe work. it would let the alt to spin faster. but its not gona be a 100 percent fix. in his mind. he would do the work ut hes not gona take my money forsomthing that might not work. i guess ill have to shop around. oh yeah the guy said a 2 farad cap might work for me.

do you have any mechanic friends? get the alt and do it yourself...it is not hard

ummm this guy jason that said ith my last car he will put one in for me. he said it will have it fit. he said he wont modd any part of my electrical system. but hes fair and good. so what alt can i get? i tryed to look it up throw ebay, yahoo,msn and its all for like 200 + ampsand there for trucks. i dont mind buying on and having it put on but as far as which one i have no idea.

well when the bass hits the light would dimm not when i im driving only when im stoped.i pulled in to a old gas station a few hours ago and stoped put on a bass cd and watched the lights dimm then get bright then dimm back down. and i was geting volt drop down to 12.7 and 12.8 then back up to 14.4 then back down. i dont want to do damage. i had posted befor about me coming to a stop and my volts going from 14.4 down to 12.8 or so. i think with a 1440 watt amp not bridged and a 2 channel 200 watt amp and levels and gains set low and this happing i need a ho alt or at least 105 amps or so. thanks

If you get 12.7 on a big transient at idle, then your shit is working fine. I can't say the same for you.
