Yeah. One run should be fine, use all 3 conductors for the power if using 12/3AWG, if using 10/3AWG, I would recommend using 2 for power, and the designated ground as a ground connection up front and back, but be sure to chassis ground the connection in back as well.
2 10AWG=20.8kcmil, .33V drop on 17' run
3 12AWG=19.5kcmil, .35V drop on 17' run
Personally, if you have enough and it's free, I would do 2 runs of 10/3, being 4 10AWG = 4AWG, and the two 10AWG ground connectors would be the same as 8AWG. (Technically closer to 7AWG)
