I have a pa2400 on my 13w7 wired at .75ohms and it hasn't cut off on me yet, and it sounds great. I only paid $150.00 brand new off of ebay. Really loud.

Now, I'm thinking about running the MD2 LoL. I hear that it is a much better quality amp. But what I want to know is will I be able to run this amp and be able to turn my music up pretty loud and not burn the sub's voice coils up. That question determines what amp I want.

I'd go with the opti. I got mines 2 weeks ago and it's done the job. Got mines for 200 brand new.

From what I hear the Opti's don't compare to the MD2 in terms of quality of power.

People like to dump on the non-Optidrive amps. I'm not sure why -- they're budget amps, produce pretty good power for the money, and are fairly durable.

Some of the power ratings are horribly inflated. I guess that's what gets them such a bad rep.

A lot of people would agree that the Optidrive amps are pretty solid amps.
