I've had some nasty spills. It's what lets you know if your really ready for it or not...if you don't sell your bike right away, I guess your ready. But sometimes your not so lucky as too even walk away....your choice.

That's exactly the kind of shit that makes me say "Is he trying way too hard to be a badass or is it really that much of a risk if you aren't too unreasonable in your risks?" YOU SIR, are the cause for my confusion, because there are FAR too many people in this world whose sole purpose is to appear cool to others and motorcycle crashes is cliche #1 to reach the top in that endeavor, and due to this I can never accept [above] as a definitive or credible answer.

By the way I once dove through a stained glass window into a church for all religions into a fire burning with the fury of piety to save a gaggle of muslims and a vast network of jews and christians that I had assembled helped us all to freedom where I picked up a sack full of dying babies and fed them by puking up 80% of my scarce meals into their mouths and reunited them with their unwed mothers (much to their chagrin).

I just mean that there are so many people out in the world trying to look like a badass that its hard to take a story that sounds badass seriously (if its real then hey, badass.). My question was more just asking you how likely it is that a casual (and fairly aggressive) rider will get into a bad wreck based on your experience.

I sort of degenerated into the whole fallacy of declaring yourself a gladiator without a crowd who can affirm your godliness.

Pretty much if you ride period. Aggressive or not...your going down.

I am a stunter and alot of my shit is done in secluded areas, (parking lots not viewable to the public and such).

But it's the love of the sport that makes me do certain "stunts" on the streets, people who say "oh he is just trying to show off like an *******" don't understand that when a rider is actually doing something like that...the public eyes around him is the LAST thing on his mind.

And then there is the track...where it's balls out...wrecks happen a lot.

s'gonna have to be the way it is. The mazda3 is fun to drive with the sport suspension and all but the juice is so 50%, I want to puke out my lunch from acceleration.....

Gonna have to make the jump from new medium good car to used very good car soon

element, you have no idea about acceleration until you have been on a sportbike. it's hard to make a car go that fast, but for 5k you can have a pretty nice bike that will smoke anything on the road.

and unfortunately your riding abilities may have nothing to do with a crash. very often cars don't see you on the road. I can't even count how many times people have merged into my lane. but to me, it's worth it. there is nothing like riding a sportbike through some back country roads.
