Post 1000 gets a 30pack of brew on me

Its still possible that it wasn't moving on retailer shelfs. Apples are in fact expensive, at least this year due to the recent drought. Also there has been a huge growth in the popularity of cider offerings, Angry Orchard is one of the fastest growing cider companies right now.
Fun fact of the day. Lol.

Its some seriously good stuff if you are in to ciders, I have had the Crisp Apple and Traditional Dry. They were much better than any Woodchuck offering or Hornsby's or Strongbow. I wish they were a bit stronger (higher abv) but very still very tasty.

I just cracked open a Sam Adams Double Bock and I am in love. 9.5%abv, only 25 ibu's (great for people who dislike hoppy beers) and over 1/2lb of malt per bottle, which is almost enough for a loaf of bread and to top it off, this stuff is extremely smooth

Been overseas in Asia since I was old enough to drink, never really was able to get into anything that isn't mainstream. Cider isn't on that list :/

But you've got me shopping for some Sam Adam's in a couple hours. Lol.

Sam Adams is most mainstream I like to get, but they do have some very good offerings. What kind of beer do you normally like? I can point you in the direction of some good ones, I'm just not sure if they are available in Japan. Sapporo, Asahi and Kirin Ichiban are all about the Japanese equivalent of your US corporate bullshit in a can aka Budweiser. I was not impressed with any of them.

I tend to like dark beers. Willing to bet anything you tell me will not be here. But I'll be headin back stateside in a couple months.

I thought Kirin Dark was decent, but that's it from them. Sapporo had one called Yebisu Black (I think?) that I did like, but was super dark. Asahi is the best IMO for daily drinking. Their Stout and Black are pretty good for beer here.
