Possible Speaker Wiring Issue !

I'm pretty new at the whole car audio/stereo deal.

I've got these in the back

and for some reason The 6x8 's hit harder when set to just one side (balance : Left or right)

is this normal?

I dont have an amp running them. Also Would new speaker wire be necessary for these speakers because i just used the wires from the factory ones, seeing as how the wires from my Alpine deck are the same size what difference would soldering a bigger wire if the actual wire attached to the deck was still small?

Hmm. The one side hits harder problem. I havent seen this one in a while. Check and make sure the magnets on the rear of the speakers are not touching the body of the car.

The factory wire is fine for what you have.

The speakers are wired out of phase.

Double check + to + and - to - on both.
