You better be ready for this big thang your about to tackle. Its not gonna be easy by no means. IMHO, I would go in with friends, maybe one friend but not more than one. And Id make sure it was a VERY good friend at that.

I have a CRX for SPL specifically, and I would not use it for bass race. Its too small and peaks pretty high. Ive heard there is a peak around 47 also, but your not going to get near 10 cubes out of a CRX and if you do you definitely wont have room for amp and batteries. Get a SUV or a trunked car for bass race. And I know you said you weren't going to do to 18s, but 2 18s wouldn't fit in the CRX on the same plane as the port in a usable fashion.

heck no there is no prize money for local comps. If your doing this to make money get out of this hobby its not a cheap sport

yes competing is not a cheap sport at all. No cash prizes ever basically. Very expensive hobby also.

you get a crx and wall it off i will smack you.

i'd say go in the 130-139.9 class

takes a lot to be competitive in the 140-149.9, if you enter it, you better be prepared.
