Ports on more than one plane?

My old box for my 18 needs scrapped, and a new on built. The old vehicle was a 1st gen blazer and I had sub and port firing up, with good results. Then new vehicle is a 2nd gen blazer and the box I have in there now for 2 12's has the subs up and ports back, again with good results.

I'm ready to put the 18 in the new truck, and I have a box I started building but never got around to finishing in the garage that just needs a face put on to be complete. Problem is that the only way to get a decent amount of port area would be to have 2 ports firing back, and 2 ports firing up unless I use an elbow on each port.

Has anyone tried this? Did it perform well, or would it cause wave issues? Box is an abc, about 6.5cu after displacements, and would be tuned to 32hz.

Thx. Could build another larger box, but would rather not at this time. All my money is tied up in xmas for the kiddos. After crunching the #'s, I would have to use elbows either way. Now I just need to find the effective port length of a 90° elbow, so I can cut the divider ports accordingly. Not much room for error with these abc boxes, but I love the sound of em.
