If my current setup is at .75 cubic feet sealed, how big would the ported enclusure be?

That is driver dependant. Why not try a 1-1.25ft^3 sealed box. Maybe add a bit of polyfill in there.

Dude you want the bigger sealed box, trust me. Thats true especially since you don't want obnoxious overpowering bass. I know that in my car, the upper bass/midbass freqs cause much more rattles than the lower bass. Note that shaking of the car and audible rattles are two different things.

Try the bigger sealed box first, if its not what you are looking for output wise... then switch to a low tuned ported box. If its not what you are looking for sound wise... then I don't know what you want.
