PORTED VS SEALED wich vibrates more???

If played at the same volume...the effects from the SPL is the same //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Ahh but factor in the low end extension. Normally lower frequencies are less audible but can tend to shake your car. So depending on the equipment used and the box design, a ported box normally will "vibrate" more.

Large sealed enclosure, or large ported enclosure tuned low.

I would choose the low tuned large ported enclosure. But the cabin of a car will have such a large impact on the sound of the bass, it will never really sound like a HT setup.

Well what I want is an enclosure that will give some nice bass that flows with the music, less rattles and not very punchy just like a Home theater system
definately go ported tuned to like 30 then... it will allow you to hear the bass but it won't be overpowering.. i believe ported gives a better flow because it moves more air... and it shouldn't be punchy at all

My friend you are asking for LESS rattles and not VERY punchy, youre problem is objects in youre car making NOISE, it is taking away from the actuall MUSIC that you want hear, you need to sound deadned areas that are vibrating.
