ported or sealed??

I ordered two type r's the dual twos

and ive heard people saying they sound alot better in ported boxes...can anyone put some input on that cause i got a free box thats sealed

will post pictures of the box tommorrow i need some input on it if its good or not

ive heard variable opinions on the type Rs.i think ported sounds better in any situation, but ive also never dealt with the type Rs

what kind of price u workin with and are you just springing for loudness. a matching set would be good i guess but i have dealt with the alpine amps and wasnt oo impressed. it seems like some of the newer lines are something to look into though

Please don't put type R's in sealed enclosure!

The 10/12 model is rated for 500, but can take 1kw Ea,

the 15 model is rated for 750, but can take 1.5kw Ea.

I'm pushing a single 15" Type R right now 3.5 @ 30Hz. Gets freakin low, and LOUD. and takes 1500 RMS.

ed nine.1 will give you 1300-1400, the r's can take more than 500 undoubtedly

you can find people to get you a box for free, you would just pay for materials and shipping
