Ported box...

Thinking of switching from a sealed box to a ported. What are the pros and cons? Could someone send me a link. I have two kicker cvr 12s.

lol, well it's kind of different for each install...you should be able to go to Kicker's website and find some basic guidelines for your subs...

you'll need 5 cubic feet total to port those optimally. 4 cubes at about 35hz. they'll get fairly loud.

I know nothing about ported boxes, Ive only used sealed. How is it tuned to 35hz?

No. Design and build the box yourself or have someone build one for you. That box is too small, 5/8'' thick mdf, Probably tuned too high and doesn't have enough port area.

Well what are the specs for a ported box for 2 kicker dvc 4ohm subs? They are going in the back of a chevy xtreme blazer. Not a whole lot of room length wise for the box, maybe 31".
