What happens when you use a ported box smaller than the recommended size. Im in the recommended range for sealed box but not big enough for the specs on ported. They are low power marine 10's and they clam you need 1 1/2 cf3 a peace ported minimum. I will be looking at more like 1cf3 a pieace ported. Like I said low power not much travel just looking for the most I can get out of them. Since im going to glass over the top anyway (solid box raised subs( glass just for pretty wont function as part of the box) im considering running external pvc ports and leave just a hole in the glass where it comes out with maybe some leds around the ring. I know my sa8s are in a box smaller than this and move way more air.
Oh what would be a good material to build a box that will see water a lot. I plan on oil base priming it then bed linering the hole thing, inside and out. I know mdf and moisture don't agree.
