ok so a friend of mine threw together a 1.5 sealed box, and i have an re se 12. Just for the hell of it i was gonna port it and throw my se in there what would be a good tuning frequency? i know for an se 12 they reccomend 2 cu ft ported..... would this be a wast of time? Just wanna mess around with a ported enclosure before i decide to buy or make one to get an idea of what to expect for SQ and spl output before wasting my time and money building a box

If I was you, I wouls go with an optimum set up. It should say in the manuel what the demensions are for the daily driver. I have seen most peeps on here use the high output boxes for those subs. THat would be the bigger sized slot port boxes and high power amps.
