ported box problems

so i had my local car audio shop build me a box to house my 2 DA D6 12" subs running off a viper d1200.1 @1ohm and the box seems to be putting out less power then my old box wich was a sealed 1.3cu ft prefab box?

i tried messing around with all the frequencies and everything and nothing changed.

my old box would vibrate the whole inside of my car intensely, this new box does too but about 30% less.

whats goin on?

How is it tuned? How many cubic feet? Lots of factors here.

1.25cu ft and i dont know what he tuned it to. if a box is tuned at 33hz, does that mean it will be loudest at 33hz?

Tuned to 33mhz means that is the range where the subs are operating at the highest efficiency.

1.25 cubic feet is TINY for a ported enclosure! I'm not familiar with what your subs recommended enclosure volume is, but I'd be surprised if it's that small for a ported enclosure.

thats actually the recommended enclosure. what size shoud the box be at to have maximum spl?

are you using the dual 12 speciality vented box they have on the site?

its like a generic looking ported box, one slot down the middle. is the one on the DA site big enough to give a lot of spl?
