Ported box for type R

i am going to build a custom box for my ALpine type r, 2004 Model, and i was wondering if anyone has done anything that sounded really good. i want i to be tuned to low 30's. this is my first box and i would like to know how to determine port size for different notes. thanks for all help. Crutchfield says it should be 1.75^3 ft at most, this is after woofer and port displacemnet right? and also is the air inside the port part of its displacement?

I used bbp6 to create my current box vvvv listed in my sig vvvv, It's 4 of the older 04' or older model, sounds pretty good tuned to around 30-35hz...and the port tuned to around 25-30hz.

Now alls I have to do is fix all this rattling!

I suppose I could look into the dimensions of a box for you, something with SQL, but not right now, got no time...

dont let bbp6 design a slot ported box for you, it doesnt calaculate the port displacement right., so its not really tuned to what you think it is. and yes, it's 1.75 after all displacements, but you dont have to obide by the suggested box size.
