ported box for SE's

Hey everybody, I'm gettin a pair of SE 12's this week and I'm still not sure whether I want a sealed or ported box. But anyways, I've been doin some measuring and it seems like the biggest box i could fit in my trunk would be about 4 cubic feet. I know the re website says as long as i have 2 cubes per sub it's ok, but what do you guys think, is 2 for each sub enough? I'm planning on running them with a jbl 1200.1
