hey man i got to thinking and how about the SPL version of the MOFO. It is the same as the MOFO only it is dual 1 ohm. Which is what you wanted in the first place. Just in case you didn't know SPL is made by Power Acoustik. It is model number SPLW15

anyways, imma keep this enclosure ***** until I have the time to cover it up. I;ve been thinkin about getting a Plexiglass face but still deciding on that.

I have it mounting on my box because i have no room to place it anywhere due to how volvo decided "hey, why don't we make the trunk near to impossible to fit anything large and flate!" So i had to lay it down diagnolly to barely fit and mount the amp on the box. But i say it did turn out very well. The box flex's a bit shaking the amp a bit, but it's nothing to be worried about at all.

I would not worry about it at all either. Mine are mounted on the opsite side of my box since i got the fold down seats and they are still running like champs. Been rattled to hell and back but still working.

hows the SQ on the MOFO? ive heard its terrible but how does urs sound?

The SQ is pretty good actually. I set the gains to 42 volts and i played Dead End (old school DDR song). and hit every beat. I played Max 300, hit every beat, played Max Unlimited, Paranoia Max, So Deep hit every beat. Very nice sub if i may ask, but i think it works best with the A2400DB seeing as how I think "IMO" the amp was made specifically for this sub.

your right. The A2400DB works well with the 10 and 12's. While the A3000DB works best with the 15.

The 10 and 12 have all the exact same specs except for obviously cone diameter.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the equipped wired remote. I don't know why but apparently it is seperate from the Bass level and Bass Boost, It's it's own seperate setting. So even if i had my bass boost and Bass level at max, i turned the dial and the sub got LOUDER. this is definitely my favorite sub and will probably keep it for quite a few years

yup, all the same. But i wonder why only the 15's have 8 ribs, i was kinda disappointed a bit in only seeing 4, lol j/k.

glad to hear your happy. Alot of people don't give that much credit to the Mofo's or rather Power Acoustik in general.

ahhh ddr i member when i used to play that...it was all the craze, and pple did paranoia backwards on the pad, pretty crazy!! Now if your seen playin it, you get flamed. Cuz really pple look like idiots when they play. hehe

anyways, good job dude, what did u use to seal that thing?? Makin my box soon...

and how does the sub sound musically??

yeah, i stopped when all the new people started playing and were actually doing the steps on bare floor, next to a machine while someone else played. I felt so disgusted by it.

whats the actual (musical) difference between SPL:W15 and PA:MOFO? you said its the same sub, but the SPL dosnt have the alu ribs\heatsink... whats the specs on the coil on a 'versus' comparison?

can you list the T\S of both woofs, and all that crap?

notice it only says "dual 1ohm coils" on the SPL woof (and its less expensive than the mofo) and the mofo lists all the specs?
