Ported Box for 12w6v2 ? / what tuning and size ?

I whould like to switch to ported for more output and a SQL daily driver. I like how the sealed sounds right now since its a SQ setup but i whould like to get more output since its in a 99 crown victoria sealed trunk and i have the space to go ported and whould like more SQL.

I listen to mostly all types of music but RAP music is lacking with the sealed setup i have now.

I am using a 500/1 amp and a pioneer 780 HU.

I was thinking of going with JL specs but wanted to make sure i get a nice tuning freq for the port and what size i shouild stay with ?

I was thinking 1.5-2.0 cuft @ 32-35hz but wasnt sure which one i wanted.

Any advice whould be appreciated. Thanks

I was thinking 32-35hz or so. I listen to alot of rap and rock and dance and i know rock doesnt go below 40hz so what is your thoughts on this guys ?

You can always switch to different size/tuning box if you like that one.

JL recommends 1.5 net @ 32hz

I have tried that before but it wasnt what i whould call SQL.

Perhaps 1.75-2.0 @ 35hz whould be ideal for an SQL ?

i had 2 of the same woofers built at 3.5 @ 32hz = sound quality was still great and output was amazing. i listen to mainly hip-hop/rap myself and im very satisfied with this box.
