port question

I am getting a box built for 2 15 btls and I am going with sub up and port back. My question is should the port be vertical in the middle or should it be horizontal along the bottom of the box?

It doesn't matter as long as the tuning is correct. Typically ports that run along the bottom will be much larger.

The port would be easier to build on the bottom of the enclosure. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter.

Doesn't matter, just make sure your port area and length are correct so your tune is right.
