port noise

Like dont go all crazy and do a triangle port, or for heaven's sake a decagon port!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif
haha, oh ok. im just doin a rectangular port like normal, nothing crazy.

if i put in my dimensions in the RE audio box calculator, will it take that into consideration and i dont have to worry about port noise. or do i still need to figure it out?

so i can make my port opening as big or small as i want and tune it to whatever i want and i dont have to worry about port noise?
No... That website will give you the specs of a box that will have the proper amount of port area for the given volume and tuning. Just enter in your dimensions and tuning and build your box. That program should give you port area in between 24-32 sq in and if its not change things around until it is.

And the only way I can describe port noise is as a shuffling kind of sound. ITs almost muffled and it sounds bad. Youll know it when you hear it.
